Backpacking to Young Lakes

Juliet and I decided to go backpacking together in Yosemite.
Here's Juliet.

And me.

And Yosemite.

Yum.

We car camped at Tuolumne Meadows. If you look closely you can see the following day's trail running up the hill to the left of Lembert Dome.

The next day we took the trail past Lembert Dome and Dog Lake.

It was nice.

The trail went up and up and then down to Delaney Creek.

Of course Juliet had to dive right in.

We hiked a long way up.

We were pretty damn tired by the time we got to Ragged Peak.

But the view inspired us.

And we finally turned the corner to find Lower Young Lake.

We setup camp and watched the sun set.

The next morning I did a little bug-fu. There used to be mosquitos at Young Lakes, but not anymore thanks to me. So don't bother bringing any repellent if you go.

In the afternoon, Juliet and I decided to scramble up the little couloir behind our camp.

Juliet & Mt. Conness.

At the top we found a lovely pass with an expansive view, a small dome, access to Ragged Peak and...

...wildflowers!

I decided to take a quick run up ragged peak while Juliet checked out the dome.

The view from up there was very nice.

I ran back down to find my lovely Juliet.

That night we watched Mt. Conness glow as the sun set.

The morning was bright and hot.

So we bailed.
